Maz hales from New York City, Manhattan to
be exact, where she works as a finance
manager. Following a hospitalization
and a few misdiagnoses, she was diagnosed
with bipolar disorder at the age of 26.
Since then, she has also been diagnosed
with panic disorder and ptsd. We
asked Maz why she volunteers with us and
this is what she has to say:
"Well, I was a member for a long time,
liked it here and stuck around. The
board has taught me a lot and helped me
out when I needed it, especially when I
was first diagnosed and had no idea of
what was going on. This place still
helps me out. I wanted to return the
favor by offering to volunteer with
Bipolar World."
